Finance Controller - Grenada

Henley & Partners' continued growth has created the need for a role of a Finance Controller. Based in the firm's Grenada office or any of the other offices in the Caribbean region, the candidate’s principal responsibility will be the accounting and financial reporting for the Group’s Operations in the CARICOM area, which will primarily involve managing both internal and external resources to deliver an efficient and effective finance function.

The ideal candidates must be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent), should be in possession of strong IT Skills, a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position and must also have the people skills to work in an international organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and submitting reports to group finance in accordance with timetable and on an ad-hoc basis
  • Performing key reconciliations (bank / client / intercompany balances)
  • Preparation of Group Reporting, including intra-group reconciliations and management accounts
  • Preparation of statutory accounts
  • Ensuring all contracting parties are informed of the status of their clients, to ensure timely invoicing
  • Tracking other sources of income to ensure completeness and adherence to revenue recognition policy
  • Ensure costs are contained within budget levels via tracking purchases on an ongoing basis
  • Managing re-charges to other group companies / receiving recharges from other group companies, as required
  • Oversight of Payroll processing
  • Prepare annual budgets for P/L, Balance Sheet and Cash flows on an annual basis with assistance from management
  • Recording of Financial Information as per Group policy
  • Maintaining internal control policies

Essential Skills

  • ACA / ACCA Qualification
  • Demonstrable experience in a commercial or professional services environment for at least 5 years
  • Knowledge in IT and Microsoft Office Programs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English with the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders
  • Flexibility to be able to travel within the region as necessary
