Burak Demirel

Burak Demirel is the Managing Director Private Clients of the Istanbul office at Henley & Partners. He is a senior strategy and business development executive specializing in advising high- and ultra-high-net-worth families and their advisors on alternative residence and citizenship options around the world. Burak is also an active member of the firm’s Government Advisory team. Burak has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Simon Fraser University and an MSc in financial engineering from Özyeğin University. His pioneering master’s completion project on the Turkish Citizenship by Investment Program was one of the first academic research projects on the subject. Prior to joining Henley & Partners, Burak developed growth strategies on behalf of the Türkiye Wealth Fund, which is led by the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye. He now advises private clients based in Türkiye and Azerbaijan, while carrying out business development activities for the firm’s Türkiye Citizenship by Investment Program.
