Tomas Mico

Tomas Mico is the Group Data Protection Officer at Henley & Partners. With a master’s degree in law, he brings extensive experience in regulatory compliance and data protection. Tomas began his career at the Data Protection Authority in Slovakia, where he played a key role in shaping early interpretations of data protection legislation and advising on complex cases. He later became Head of the Legal Department, further strengthening his expertise in the field. 

Transitioning to the private sector, Tomas served as senior privacy counsel and advisor to a leading cybersecurity technology company, as well as medical start-ups and NGOs. His work focused on navigating the evolving regulatory landscape, balancing innovation with regulatory compliance. Tomas’ expertise was instrumental in guiding organizations through the implementation of GDPR and other emerging data protection frameworks.
