For the third year in a row, Singapore and Japan have the most powerful passports in the world. According to data from the International Air Transport Association, analyzed by immigration consultants Henley& Partners, citizens of those two nations can travel to 192 of 227 destinations without having to secure a visa.

Henley & Partners saw record numbers of inquiries about citizenship- and residence-by-investment programs. Since the outbreak of the pandemic, the firm has seen an average increase in inquiries of 46% each month.

The Henley Passport Index now places India at the 83rd position globally, after Oman and Armenia were added to the list of visa-free destinations. Indian passport holders now have visa-free access to 60 nations.
